Fitness Challenge Events

During 2007, millions of kids, parents, and educators will pledge in cities across the country to take the Fitness Challenge to lead a healthier lifestyle.

This event is the first of its kind to combine education, physical activity and follow up programs for local communities across the to take the fitness challenge to lead a healthier lifestyle and fight the rising tide of child obesity.

The Fitness Challenge Foundation offers this great event in an era marked by inactivity, obesity, and chronic disease.

Small changes will produce a BIG difference!

Fitness Challenge Event Features:

K-12 kids, parents, educators, school staff and local community members. Estimated attendance 10,000+ participants.

5K run, walk, skate or bike ride as we take to the streets to challenge ourselves to lead a healthier lifestyle.

Fun, noncompetitive event with free participation.

Family Lifestyle Experience.

Grants are awarded to schools for physical activity and nutrition education programs based on participation. Each School must have at least 65 participants and the schools with the most are eligible to receive a bonus.

Family Lifestyle Experience:

Health Screenings (Screen participants in a range of simple tests. i.e. BMI).

Fitness Zone featuring classes (martial arts, yoga, hip-hop, resistance, and cardio training) and activities (climbing wall, sports, tumbling, sports leagues, etc...).

Food Preparation Demo featuring shopping tips, recipes, food selection, kitchenware, tips for quick nutritious meals at home.

Child safety, registration and finger printing.

Product Sampling.

Entertainment.
